Owner describes himself as tech savvy and showed an impressive list of tools he has tried. But knowing what software to use in a given scenario and knowing how to use the software is what matters. Files are either recoverable or they are not. No data recovery program requires the partition structure to be that period if the disk can be physically read, than any decent data recovery program will work just fine with it. ![]() No data recovery program requires a drive to be formatted. In fact, the last thing you want to do when you have lost data, is to attempt to make any change at all, even something that is ostensibly a repair, to the drive from which you lost the data. Anything that can actually be reasonably called a data recovery tool, is capable of doing its work on a drive that shows up as raw or unformatted, as long as the drive itself is mechanically functional. A very easy way to know that you aren't dealing with a real data recovery program, is if it doesn't let you select a drive that the operating system cannot browse (OS asks you to format it). ![]() In my mind, especially when you add in the fact that recent releases seem to be of a lower quality than older releases, the program is more shifting from being simply overused because it is free, to something that I would actually call a piece of junk. ![]() Recuva was at one point pretty good file undeletion tool, but Piriform has been trying to pass it off as a more full-featured data recovery tool, and it is really not capable of those tasks. Testdisk is a partition table repair tool with some basic file on deletion abilities for a few particular file systems, but it gets used and recommended all the time because it both requires a lot of knowledge to use (which leads people to thinking it must be some amazing and powerful tool that "super geeks" would use) and it is free, but they are really trying to use it for things that it is neither intended nor capable of accomplishing. There isn't going to be any program that will restore something that has been overwritten, but every program works in a slightly different way, and they are successful to varying degrees when it comes to picking up the pieces that might be left over when you do delete something.Įaseus, Stellar, Wondershare RecoverIt, Disk Drill, iboy-soft, Mini Tool, AOMEI, are all just plain garbage. Which program will offer the best result will depend heavily on exactly what happened. Without knowing more, what I can tell you is that if you know how to work it, you can accomplish really impressive things with GetDataBack, R-Studio, UFS Explorer, DMDE, ZAR, or ReclaiMe. Older versions offered a text-based version, and current versions might still have text based interface available as well. The only one I can think of that is a pure software solution, would be dmde. There are a number of very good professional grade programs, that people tend to skip right by in favor of garbage software like you named. If professional data recovery software teams were unable to recover, how the heck they did ? What software was that, and can i do the same ? ![]() But i knew it was a ms dos type software, with no GUI. What the heck? Which software was that i asked hundreds times and they refused to tell me. The guy just plugged my hard drive and it was a ms dos like software, and showed almost 5 year old folders, and they recovered in just 5 minutes and charged 500$. I even contacted their support teams, and few of them even tried by remote access and said that my data is unrecoverable, because it's late and I've written other data. However, i was unable to recover the data. I tried Wondershare, Recuva, Diskgenius, Stellar, Easus Data and numerous others. When i realized i tried to recover via different softwares. So few months ago i accidentally deleted a 20 GB folder from my 5 year old HDD.

The scraping and stretching continues until the hide is an even thickness of approximately two millimeters. The hide is then turned over and a smooth flat board is used to scrape the hair side, to remove any remaining hair and the hair follicles. It usually takes two days to fully clean the flesh off a hide. Using both hands, a fleshing tool is scraped across the flesh side of the hide in hard downward strokes. Once dry the softening process can begin. Brain tanning is ideal for the production of clothing, bags, beadwork and all kinds of traditional products. Animal brains are traditionally used as the source of emulsified oils, but you can also use eggs or a mixture of soap and oil. Then holes are made along the outside edge and the hide is tied to a stretcher frame to dry for a few days. The bulk of the flesh and hair is removed while the hide is wet and easier to work with. The wet hide is draped over a pole and using a knife, the flesh and hair are scraped off. If a hide must be stored for any length of time before tanning, it should be salted, rolled in sawdust and kept either in a cool place or frozen.Ī hide is first soaked for three days to loosen the flesh and hair for easy removal. Spring and summer moose hides are better for tanning than a winter hide, which is very thick and hard to soften.Ī fresh hide is the best for tanning. Fall caribou hides are ideal because the hide is thick and the hair is not too long. The most commonly tanned hides are moose and caribou. They are strong, durable, lightweight and warm – the perfect material to make clothing, bedding and footwear to sustain life in the Arctic. Traditionally tanned hide is a unique material that has been used for survival by Aboriginal groups of Northern Canada for centuries. Today, art handmade from traditionally prepared materials is becoming increasingly hard to find, which is reflected in its price point in the marketplace. This heritage is evident in the artwork, shared by the artist for all to enjoy. Screen 3: results are copied from screen 2 and students make observations. Screen 2: students roll the hand-made die 60 times Here are two ways I changed this activity with the new editor, with the intent that students will be able to follow the narrative with less arrowing through the activity. With that in mind, we’ve assembled a collection of unique and engaging digital activities at. The activity allows students to discover the chi-squared statistic as a reasonable measure of variability in a categorical distribution. In this activity students “roll” both a virtual hand-made die and a virtual real die. Immediately I wanted to explore this new freedom and think about intentionality in my design process for an activity I wrote and used in my AP Stats class this spring – Is My Die Fair. There is more freedom now to move elements around, order them as you like, and include more of them in a single screen. Previously, elements like Graph, Note and Input were limited in their placement and number. Note that you could just as easily do this activity without technology. It was based on the description of subtraction with a number line on pg 12 of the Integers Gap Closing resource. On the last slide students can practice with an infinite number of questions. The first thing I noticed about the updated editor was the increased freedom in screen design. Students investigate how to subtract integers using a number line. You can head to now and explore the changes – edit a previous activity, create a new one OR copy screens from activities in the library of Desmos activities. The intent of this activity is to set the foundation ideas necessary for the development of the instantaneous rate of change (the derivative) as the limit of the average rate of change. Today our friends at Desmos released an update of their Activity Builder editor. By analyzing the motion of a ball thrown straight up in the air, this activity is designed to introduce the average rate of change of function. ![]() “I have been using My Story with my students for almost two years now and we love it!!! It is so much fun and easy to use and parents love it as well!!!! ” – Aggie1976 from Plus, the fact that it is easy to use makes it perfect for students, even the young ones. The creative aspect of the application makes it fun for students and teachers. This application could easily have many uses in the second language classroom. I think that this application has a lot of potential as a teaching tool. It was easy to use and I enjoyed myself while creating my book, and exploring the various features. Nevertheless, even if there is some minor downsides to this app, this app is very well built. In fact, with the free version of the app, you get only a few illustrations for free and the others need to be bought. Moreover, one of the downside of this app is that not all the content is free. However, as stated on , a little tutorial or an help page that one can access at anytime in the making of his/her storybook is missing. It was easy to use, and very self-explanatory. ![]() To begin, I really enjoyed my experience with the tool. The purpose of this “Grown-up Check” is to make sure the decision that is about to be taken is under an adult’s supervision. A “Grown-up check” window appears every time you have the possibility to buy something or to share your story. Finally, one of the most interesting feature of the app is that I could share my storybook, on iBooks, by e-mail, etc.Īnother important feature of this app is the “Grown-up Check ”. If I wanted to change my story for some reason, I just add to click “Edit”. When I clicked on “View”, a short video started of my story, I heard my voice over and the pages turned automatically. By clicking on my storybook, I had access to three different options : “View”, “Edit”, and “Share”. When my storybook was done, I was redirected in my library. To exit the Page Manager, I just had to click on the green button “Done”. If you want to add a page between two existing pages you can, thanks to the Page Manager. This tool is there to help you order the pages of your storybook. This is also the place I needed to go when I wanted to add a page to my story. The brushes come in different styles and forms, and the color range offered is very large, therefore one can express his/her creativity in various ways. If I was not satisfied, I just took the eraser and corrected my drawing. With this tool, I could add color to the page, or draw something using my imagination. The third designing tool is the “Brushes and Erasers”. Moreover, I could add my own pictures from my gallery by clicking on the green icon, take a picture by clicking on the red icon or even type a text using the purple icon. I could chose from animals, accessories, transportation etc. To access the “Media”, I clicked on the green icon with a painting and immediately, an image gallery appeared. The second feature to design the story is called “Media”. If I was not satisfied with my recording, I only pressed the little red “x” on the recording icon and I could restart my recording. I just had to click on the red icon at the top right of the screen, and recorded my voice. The first feature offered is the recording of a voice over for your story. I explored the designing features while making my book. After I could directly start creating my story ! I clicked on “Add a Book”, and titled my book. My story is a very user friendly app, with a self-explanatory interface. ![]() Plus, the success of the app speaks for itself with over 850 000 downloads from people all over the world. Still according to, My story encourages creative expressions, artistic skills, language development and creative thinking skills. As stated on , the company aimed at creating an app that “ unleashes a child’s creativity”. This app was designed by Bright Bot, an app creating company that focuses on creating educational applications. My story Book Creator for Kids is an application designed for children, to make stories with their iphone, ipad or ipod touch.

Ben gets ready for his final date - which allows the producers to squeeze in one last shirtless shot - but Tayshia’s mind is made up: “I know what my heart wants, and it’s not Ben.” She sits him down and breaks the bad news: “I just feel like my heart is with somebody else.” He tells her he’s happy for her, but confesses to the camera as he packs up: “I’m still in love with her. (It’s pretty much a prerequisite at this point.) “I can’t let that happen this time,” he bluntly tells her, adding: “I don’t want you to be making the biggest mistake of your life.” Tayshia ends up crying about how “confused” she is and doing the usual Bachelor finale “I can’t do this!” routine. Zac tells her mom and dad that he sees himself and Tayshia married and starting a family in the future, though, and they all share a New York-style pizza as Tayshia’s mom notes their obvious chemistry. Next, it’s Zac’s turn, and he’s ready to tell her parents he wants to marry Tayshia. Her dad is “skeptical” about Ben since he didn’t tell Tayshia how he felt about her until he was already dumped, but Ben wins over her mom by telling her, “I’m in love with your daughter.” Her dad seems impressed, too, after some one-on-one time with Ben, and he warms up enough to “give him a chance.” (Plus, they took a fun scooter ride around the resort together.) Tayshia and Ben smooch some more, and she says she’s “falling in love with him all over again.” But you’re in love with Zac already, right? What is happening?!? Now it’s time to meet the family: Tayshia’s mom, dad and brothers join her to grill the final two guys, and they meet Ben first. ![]() “This is definitely going to sting for a while,” he admits on the ride home, but he also predicts that no one else is leaving the La Quinta resort happy, either: “She’s not going to pick anyone, I don’t think.” Ouch.
